Altered T-shirts

Meg is a darling stay at home mom who loves to create, but on a budget.  Don’t you find that some of the most creative projects come from being on a budget?

Being true to her name, she embellished a t-shirt.   She bought 2 shirts in the same color……..but you could certainly use a different color making this possible with supplies you may already have……….right now!She cut one t-shirt in one long narrow strip.Taking her long strips, she laid them out in the design she wanted, fired up her sewing machine and had a new top before she could say “Ha ha ha, Kim can’t sew,  but I can”.Because she’s so thrifty……..and crafty……….she didn’t blink an eye when her friend gave her this plain ole purse.  She knew with a bit of fabric and her scissors, she could create a darling new accessory for herself.And here’s a full tutorial on how to make these cute fabric flowers.Now here’s a brilliant idea.  I love the way it looks, I love that it we can all make it for only a couple of dollars.  She made her own dry erase boards………but SO much cuter.  Don’t you think?You could use these so many different places.  The mud room, the laundry room, the kitchen, etc……..love it.  Go visit Meg and tell how much we love her.
