brave girl

Is it Friday yet?

I just spent the last weekend at Bloggy Boot Camp and then the last 2 days at Modern Prairie Girls Photography workshop.  Which I might add was great.  If someone can get me to understand F-stop, ISO and Shutter speed, they win the prize. And Lara did just that.  I still have SO far to go, but at least I’m starting to see the light.  You can see Lara’s feature here.

Lara does some amazing photography. She recently did a fun shoot with Melody Ross.  Melody used to own and operate ChatterBox Scrapbooking company.  I used to horde her paper.  I’m sure I still have a few sheets.  Melody is now moving onto focusing on her art, her Brave Girls Club and whatever else moves her to be creative.

Brave Girls Club

Just a few weeks ago, Melody was in town visiting Lara and you know if you place too ultra creative dreamers in the same space, their going to play.  Here are a few shots of what they did all morning.  mother earth Lara loves doing very artsy photo shoots.  And she’s a SMART cookie when it comes to teaching anything photo.  If you’re looking to improve your skills, check out her classes and retreats.

Melody is one of my hero’s.  I’ve looked up to her talent for a long time.  She is passionate about her Brave Girls Club, which you can read more about on her site.  I’ve featured her old blog bit ago, but when I saw this trash can on her new site.  I just had to share with you.  I love it!  I love it so much I’m going to use it as inspiration……….that’s a nicer way than saying I’m going to copy it.  :)   Melody wouldn’t care.

I think this will be the perfect splash of color in my craft room.  She has a great tutorial on her site.

OK ladies, lots to look at today.  Enjoy!

  3. Oh Melody you are so talented! I would not have guessed that trash can was just one of those plain white buckets all dolled up so cute. Great idea, I’m “borrowing” it too! ;)
