I hope you all entered my Game Stop Games bundle giveaway.
Also, did you see the nice write up they did on me at Mom It Forward? I feel like a rock star!
Back to work…….
I fell in love with the bags that one of my Creative Girls Holiday Gift guide gals does. I have a similar burlap bag that I keep by the front entry to hold the towels I wipe my pups paws on………since it’s so wet here in the NW and all. At least I have a cute burlap bag to store them in. Looks a little better than a wadded up towel on the floor in my entry way.
The Blessed Nest
Now had I known this gal before…….I would totally have had a more personalized bag made. She’s got some really cute ideas. Love them. You should check out her Etsy shop.
She’s a girl after my own heart. Would you look at those burlap pillows? I LOVE them. Now if they would just make a really soft burlap……I’d really be in heaven.
She has lots of fun things on her blog. Like this really cool tutorial……..of course you’d have to know how to sew…….unlike me, but I can totally appreciate that organized photo of all the supplies. She also will show you how to use transfer sheets for printing those words on fabric.
Speaking of transfer paper, you have to go see how she transformed this lamp shade. Very cool. She hung this in her hall way. Another great idea.
Did someone say hallway? Look at the before and after……..Isn’t that cute? I love that lamp, love the photo wall. Love the chalkboard paint she put on the lower right side. She’s got a few kids…….she’s no dummy…..she created a place where they could draw all over the wall. You gotta see the art piece she created from her children’s first words. Great idea.
I figured with our love of craft rooms, you’d love to see the one she created. Much bigger photos on her site. My craft room is STILL in a sorry state……must clean up….maybe THAT should be my New Years Resolution? If you’re in the Portland Oregon area and you wanna come over and help me, just let me know. I’ll bake cookies.
Are you still here reading? What are you waiting for? Get over to The Blessed Nest and leave her a comment surprising her that she’s been featured.
If you’re fingers aren’t too tired, go ahead and enter to win a necklace from Allora Handmade………..all comments left in the month of January are entered.

Such great stuff!!!
Wow- amazing ideas- LOVE!
Kim,
That lampshade in the hallway where lots of family photos are hung is a brilliant idea because light fades photos over the years. So, this fun decorating idea is 2-fold, chic/decorative/fun and it protects your beloved framed photos. Love it! And if you’re still giving away those gorgeous Allora necklaces, I’m IN!!! LOL Have a Great Day!
The custom lampshade is such a great personalized gift. i am so looking forward to doing it for my next handmade birthday party gift. Thanks for the idea!
I love Kellie, so glad you surprised her.
