With the holidays wrapping up, you’ve probably reminisced about what your favorite holiday Christmas tradition is. I love them all of course, but one that affects more than just me is one we share with other family friends. It’s our Annual Cookie/Cupcake decorating party.
Holidays
It started when my son was 2. I called my best girlfriends and invited them and their young children over for an impromptu cookie decorating party. It was in the afternoon, basically as a “playdate”. It has continued every year, except we’ve included our husbands and moved the time to late afternoon into the evening. (this year ended at 12:30am)
Holiday Traditions
It’s a time to reconnect for our four families and the kids.
We just celebrated our 10th year! The kids still love it! Our little ones have grown into big ones and many have more siblings now. We’ve got seniors in high school to pre-schoolers. This year the night was filled with lots of singing, dance offs and game playing. It’s exactly what we need since it’s the only time a couple of us see each other all year. Good food, good friends and good fun……..
It’s one of my favorite traditions.
