Clever Girl

Do you already feel behind?  For all the Christmas stuff you need to do?  Stop the madness!  Let’s make a vow to stay sane this holiday season, to stay in the moment, to stop and smell the hot chocolate.  I have 50% of my shopping done and I love that I’ve done lots of it online and from so many online Mama’s.   The Creative Girls Holiday Gift Guide not only helps you find wonderful gift ideas, but it also helps out online Mama’s…….it’s a good thing.  I think one of my favorite bargains is the FREE Canvas for shipping only.  The shipping is $14.50……I upgraded to an 11×14 for $9.99 plus shipping.  If you want one, just click on the button I have on the right.

OK, today’s feature…….

Cleverly Inspired

I think you’ll like some of the ideas I found on Cleverly Inspired.  She’s getting ready for the Christmas Holiday with a couple of cute and easy ideas.   You could even enlist the help of your children on a couple of these.

Canvas Tree Applique

This doesn’t look too terribly hard…….I mean as long as there’s not a sewing machine involved, there’s hope for me.

It also helps that she has a full tutorial.  I think this is a great way to add cute Holiday Art that doesn’t break the bank.  Of course it also makes a cute gift idea.  I suppose you could do this with a non-holiday theme for someone too.

Time Capsule Ornament

This one you can get the family involved.  Maybe even make it a family night activity.   She places a photo of each child inside a glass ornament, then slides in typed messages of the past years achievements to personalize it.  Just in case my quick instructions aren’t cutting it, she’s got a tutorial for this too.

12 Days of Christmas

Even though it’s the 1st, it’s still not too late to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas.  Who says it has to be the first 12 days anyway.  I love her idea of small gifts wrapped up. ….. but I love the tiered basket even more.  My son would go crazy with those just starring him in the face.

Felt Scarf

Now this is MY kind of scarf!  No sewing, no knitting…..I can do this.  I wonder if you could stamp on this?

Those are some good ideas!  Hop on over and pay her a visit.  Be sure to surprise her and tell her about her feature on TCB!  We all love comments!

Each month I choose a winner from ALL the comments left during the month.  Novembers winner will receive a lovely something from Allora Handmade.  December Comments will be entered to win a Lisa Leonard $50 Gift Certificate.

We also celebrate the 12 days of Christmas but we do it the traditional days of starting on Christmas and ending on Jan 5th and then we celebrate Epiphany (when the Wise Men come to see Jesus) on Jan 6th. I like her Time Capsule ornament too- what fun to look back on past years!
