According to Kelly has a really cute blog and a really great quick gift idea like her cupcake in a jar! I am loving her blog design and would like to steal it.
I keep thinking I already know Kelly……….IRL. Everyone I know from the online world talks about Kelly, so see……….I should already know her.
OK, this is genius! I’m thinking neighbor gifts. Or just a quick gift for a girlfriend, for my son’s teachers.
CupCakes in a Jar!
Loving the fabric tied around it with a spoon. Very very cute.
Kelly shows us step by step just how to make these. Looks like something I could handle. No cupcake liners……..I can do that.
After you mix up the cake mix, she shows a no mess trick on how to fill the muffin tin.- I can do that!
Smoosh it into the jar - I can do that too!
Add your frosting…….with a fancy bag. I think I can do that.
Looks like you repeat the smooshing. Yep……….got it, smooshing is my specialty.
Tie a cute scrap of fabric or ribbon with a cute spoon………she suggest a vintage spoon or plastic.
As long as they can eat it, they’re not going to care, right. I certainly wouldn’t waste a cute vintage spoon on a man. When I brought home my vintage spoons from The Creative Connection…….the ones I received from the Pioneer Woman Lunchoen…..my husband didn’t get it. “Why do you have old spoons in your luggage” He could not see the beauty…….so for a man, use a plastic spoon.
Now don’t go thinking she’s only about cupcakes………she’s got a couple of other great holiday ideas.
Reindeer Food-
Yep, she’s got a full recipe for you. Hers is more elaborate than mine. I just mix oats with glitter, but in Southern California, they go all out.
Mod Podge Frames-
Quick, Cute and festive.
And she sews………..wouldn’t you know it?

Thank you for helping us with your Christmas gift ideals. That cupcake in a jar, looks easy for this old grandmother. My grand daughters 5th birthday is coming up this month. Thinking I will use some plastic clear cups for these for all the little kids. Stick a cupcake topper on it and maybe a paper wrap of some sort out of DP and these will be perfect for 5 year olds. The theme for her party will be snowmen, since the date is so close to Christmas. thank you for this wonderful ideal.

Wow, I’ve heard of cake mixes in a jar and baking a cake in a jar, but stuffing in a baked cupcake… interesting. Like you said, they’ll eat it.

Wow, this is a good idea. Especially for teachers, mailman, UPS person etc… may want to put in something plastic for the UPS person though or anyone one on the move?

Brilliant idea! I have some spoons left over from when I gave lemon curd as gifts. You can get a nice set of spoons at places like Marshalls or Homegoods. I will be making these for all the teachers at my daughter’s school! I’m going to add sprinkles too.

…the “cupcake in a jar” sorta reminded me of something my mom would do. she would bake pumpkin or zucchini bread in a can or in a jar, later added a topping and used these also as a surpise treat for folks like our milk man… (good heavens – i guess i am revealing my age with this comment…) THIS is a great idea for a special favor like saying “thanks”!
