DIY Decorating – Adding Style to Your Home

Now I know where Pottery Barn gets all their ideas!  This diy decorating blog has some of the most amazing DIY projects and ideas.  Even her photography looks straight out of Pottery Barn or Ballard Designs. GAH!  Jealous. In a good way.

The Painted Hive

She has taken her vision for decorating her home and created it with DIY projects.  I found a few AHA! Moments with her ideas………like the framed map as a headboard!  Of course!  Why not?!  Great idea.

LOVE THAT! refurbished coffee table- diy decoratingI admire people who can see beyond the ugly discarded…..This old metal drum…….seriously how many people do you know that would be brilliant enough to say…….”Hmmm, I think I’ll add some plastic lace, some paint and use it in my home”?  WOW!  I’ll never look at those cheap plastic lacy table cloths the same.  diy table She recently had a baby and she did the most adorable nursery ever.  The chalkboard closet gets me every time I look at it.  And that mobile…..Sigh. decorating your nursery

She has since changed out her dining room chairs, but I still loved these photos of her dining and living rooms. Again…….looks straight out of a magazine or catalog.  She talks about neutral decorating…..Would love to try that.

I wish you would provide links to the actual pages that you highlight from blogs. I don’t always have time to hunt them down. As a reader, it’s very frustrating. Please think about it!
