Oh how we love link up parties! So many great ideas to inspire us for our next project. This past week, I was really pulled in by several DIY WALL ART projects. Who needs expensive art when we can make something ourselves ……something completely original!

DIY Wall Decor
Katie from Creatively Living does it again………she caught my eye with this DIY Wall Decor she made for her sisters nursery. You would never know that those gray shapes are actually cards she found in the $1 section at JoAnne’s. And you’d never know that she applied them directly to the wall……you gotta go see it. She has a tutorial to walk you through her process.
This Vintage Button wall art from Smart Girl Style is another great example that you can make something spectacular from household items to dress up your walls. Look around…..use something unconventional for your next DIY wall art.
DIY Art
You all know my love for Vintage maps, so being able to make a do it yourself pull down map would make me a happy happy girl. This DIY art is easy to make and inexpensive. JessicaNdesigns has the best tutorial for helping you create your own.
Another fun wall decor I found is this distressed wood sign made by Today’s Fabulous Finds. She also shares a full tutorial on how she created the wall art for her home. Love the quote!
My last pick isn’t for the walls, but I suppose it could be. I love love love the diy stenciled dish towels from Homemade Ginger! I’m trying to figure out if it’s the colors I love so much or the designs. So dang cute! And easy! Yep…….she’s got a tutorial. These would make cute holiday gifts.
Are you ready to link up? Yea!
New guidelines…….
No link back required. It’s appreciated and it’s certainly the right thing to do. To be considered for my Top 5, you must have a link back to TCB
- Link up something creative, as in crafty. Cooking, baking, organizing are all welcome too. (please don’t link the same thing week after week)
- DO NOT link up items you are selling. No contests, giveaways or link parties.
- Mingle, find your next project, tweet about Get Your Craft On, tell everyone on FB. Why not? That means more ideas!
- Find all my buttons here. But text links are great too.
- Click the MORE below to link up

Love the wall decor ideas, especially the button one. I have lots of single buttons. This would be a good thing to do with them Today I bring Fast and Frugal Pita Chips. Thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful week.
I love the wall art map ideas I’ve been seeing lately. I’ve seen alot of people in the blog o sphere do some amazing, stunning walls all featured around a world map…. I live near Savannah, GA and I am really considering doing something along these lines with a map of coastal Georgia. (It’s a really NEAT outline.) It’s inspiring.
There are so many neat links up there! ^ I hope I can make it through a big chunk of them!
Thanks for sharing,
Shirley
