How to Make a Mini Cake Stand

1. Supplies needed: ceramic eggcup, 5 ½” round ceramic plate or one that is in proportion to the eggcup, 8” decorative paper doilies, scalloped edged scissors and E6000 adhesive (for ceramics and glass).

2-3. First create the plate liner. Using the ceramic plate as a template, trace it on the backside of one of the doilies.

4. To create a decorative edge on the doily, cut it out with the scalloped edged scissors.

5-6. Next, attach the eggcup to the underside of the plate using the adhesive. Try not to glob on the glue, use enough to keep it secure. Be sure to follow the directions on the adhesive package to allow enough time for it to properly dry.

Once the plate is dry just place the doily on top and you are ready to go. In another post I will show you how to make the mini sandwich cakes. In the meantime, happy creating! ~Melinda
