It’s that time of year, the time we start to think about decorating our fall porch. Sometimes the best ideas are simple. This fall porch from A Pretty Life in the Suburbs brings all the beauty of fall in an uncomplicated manner. Who doesn’t love gourds and pumpkins?
Decorating a Fall Porch
Add a couple of twigs, and a flowering cabbage and you’ve got yourself a beautiful way of decorating a fall porch without the fuss.
If you have a bunch of pine cones, you can add a bit more style and hang one of these Pine Cone Pomander’s on your porch or right inside the door.
Kind of like a mistletoe, but for fall! She used mini pine cones, but I bet any variety would work as long as they’re not HUGE! She shows a full tutorial on how she made this.
Halloween Porch
Your beautiful porch can transition right into Halloween when you add something creepy to the door like this eyeball wreath! If you’ve got a glue gun, a grapevine wreath, you too can make this “eye popping” wreath!
Let’s move inside shall we? Her mantel is festive and full of simple design. Using natural elements is always a winner in my book! You could either set this up now, or wait til after Halloween, because her Halloween Mantel is pretty cool too.
So you could just embellish your Fall Mantel with Halloween stuff, or you could start all over. Her lace pumpkin is pretty cool!
I love the fabric balls she made (yes she has a tutorial), you could make a few of these up with fall prints, or Halloween colors. Simple and beautiful!
She has a TON of recipes and other ideas on her site. Very well organized and easy to navigate. You’ll love it! Head on over and let her know she’s been featured, otherwise, how will she know it’s the” best day of her life”?

The “eye popping” wreath is so scary!
lol…the eyeball wreath is fabulous! I’d love to do it with glow in the dark eyeballs!
Her glammed up pumpkins are the best use for fancy old stockings I’ve seen…hurray for recycling!
You’re right about her recipes! Her Apple Pie Baked Oatmeal, Blueberry Quinoa Pancakes and Roasted Vegetable Tortilla Lasagna all caught my eye…yummm!
ps…I’m holding a little giveaway on my tiny little blog for a GC to the supercool Chocolate and Steel. Stop by if you get a chance! http://moonswordschamber.blogspot.com/2012/09/chocolate-silver-and-sunshineand.html
