Nancy has the most beautiful skin ever. Besides looking like she could have been the coppertone baby when she was little………..she is a real sweetie. I love the little gift she gave everyone at a recent blog conference. It has the ever so popular chevron design, which I say is a zigzag. Only because I’m old.
Handmade Gifts
She has all kinds of crafty things to do on her blog. You will never believe she cut this shirt apart to make this adorable head band. The shirt was on sale and she just knew she could do something with it if she didn’t end up wearing it. Pretty good huh?
How to make headbands
Because she has that long blond hair, she wears a lot of headbands. I think many of you will love the headband tutorial she has. Very cute way to personalize your accessories with ribbon.
I get SO jealous of all you ladies who can just whip up a cute gift, or make some cute pillows. Sigh. Maybe someday when I finally get my craft room organized, I’ll pull out my mom’s sewing machine and play around. Maybe.
I would love to make cute gifts like that above or the little kid apron below. She also has tutorials on how to make a jewelry hanger and those really cute rolled flowers.
Believe it not, I think I could make that bird. Following her tutorial, I’m confident I could.
But I am not going to try the skirt……….I would wear it if someone else made it, but I’m not ready for any gathering or ruffles. Maybe a pillow or something, but no ruffles. We don’t want me cursing.
So there you go……now your job is to surprise her for me. Once you’re there, I hope you’ll cruise around her blog and find a tutorial to play with this week. A creative week is better than a boring week, right?
I’ll be having a LIVE CHAT Wednesday evening. I’ll let you know more tomorrow! I hope you’ll join me. I’d hate to be the only person in the chat room.

WOW! This was amazing! I am going to try the headbands.
Great ideas. Did I miss it? Where is the link to her blog?
I thought I did too. Click on the “my blonde ambitions in red”
Wow Kim! You are beyond sweet, and kind and beautiful and all things wonderful. I’m so totally surprised. I have been such a blog slacker lately and pretty much thought that everyone had given up on me. We’ve been traveling a ton and contemplating a move for my family so real life has taken over for a little bit. But this has sure put me back into focus! Thanks, this means so much to me
Im going to take a look at the jewelry holder tutoural! I need somethinglike that! Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed week!
Fun blog…I may have to find a new needle & use that sewing machine for something besides scrapbooking. We’ll see!
Do you want to know what I love about your blog Kim?…you make ME feel good when you talk about the people you are sharing with us each day. It is like coming to a blog where goodness just shines through all the time. Thank you.
Love those flowers! And that bird…oh my lord it’s cute!
Wow! She has some great recycled projects. I love the skirt from a t shirt. I would have never guessed what it used to be. Love the pen holder I got from CE too!
Super cute stuff! {however, I didn’t see that in our goodie box at Creative Estates! And I packed ‘em!} Where did they disappear to??
