Martha………that’s all I have to say. Martha. We (creative people) all know her by a first name basis. The name Martha sums up our connection to any and all things creative. Decorating, domesticating (that doesn’t sound right) entertaining. Martha is our idol, whether or not we know it.
Get Your Martha On
Love this blog. She strives to Get Her Martha On regularly. She’s got all kinds of projects to keep us swooning or busy. I love her mercury glass….she even has a tutorial. I need to go back and read it, because it looks better than the ones I did.
And this sign below. LOVE! I actually have 2 fence boards that I’ve been meaning to paint for a long time. I wanted to get it done by Thanksgiving. Because I’m sure all my guest would be impressed.
(they probably wouldn’t even notice, except for my SIL Debbie who reads my blog…….the others don’t even know I have a blog………hi Debbie, see you Thursday!)
My board isn’t going to say Groceries though since it’s not going in my kitchen.
I do love that font.
This slip cover is lovely!
Makes me a bit jealous. I recently tried to slip cover my couch and chair……….let’s just say I can’t bring myself to write about it yet. She shows the before……how many of you could see the vision? I wish she lived in my neighborhood. I’d invite her over, then get all “Hotel California” on her until she did my own slipcovers.
And you all know my love for fake topiaries.
She is talented. She is SO talented that she contributed to this book on Tea Towel Aprons.
($13 on Amazon)
Looks like a great Christmas idea.
I hope you’ll visit her and tell her she’s featured on TCB today! Cuz you know…….I never tell people ahead of time. I like surprises!

So, so true about Martha! Love all this stuff.
I love her stuff. Martha is definitely everyone’s idol (even if most won’t admit it)!
Hey! Thank you for the feature – I’m surprised AND honored!
Just to clarify though, I’m only part of the tea towel book. I wish it were all mine, but alas, I’m just a contributing designer. Does this make me less of a rock star?
Again, thank you for the mention. You made my day.

So. Yesterday, as I”m prepping to decorate a table for a local charity’s Christmas Tea, I was thinking to myself, “I wonder if I could find out how to make my own mercury glass?” And today (I should have checked sooner) I popped on my Reader and here you were, answering my question. THANKS Kim!!!
How cool! Martha is the McGyver of the crafting world!
