You guys are so talented! So many great links for Get Your Craft On!
Today’s featured blogger is a cutie patootie. Lindsay from Aisle to Aloha takes us on her adventure of being an artistic newlywed living the life in Hawaii with her military hubs. She’s got her own Etsy shop where she sells her wonderful art.
I met her briefly in April, but didn’t get to chat much with her. It gets busy at those blog conferences. When I got home I looked up her site and saw that she paints. That could explain the paint brushes on her business card.
She’s got a certain simplicity to her style. Clean, stylish. She carries that over into her What I Wore Wednesday. I love seeing what she’s wearing. Always cute. Always creative.
I’ve seen a lot of stuff writing for this ole blog, but I don’t think I’ve seen this idea! Ceiling Medallions……..but not on the ceiling. She picked up a few, painted them the colors she wanted and stuck them up on the wall. I love it!
While she was picking up those medallions, she must have stuffed a few of these paint chips in her pocket.
Do you think the guys at the paint counter care when we crafty girls grab A LOT of paint chips? Do you think they know that we’re not using them to choose paint? Heck, it’s job security for them right? If we empty the swatch bin, he has to refill it………so really………..we’re doing them a favor. This garland she made from paint chips is darling. Simple, cute and original. Love it!
Now I have to admit, I kind of liked the first photo of her worn out bench she was re-doing. But after seeing it’s transformation, I love it. She has a full tutorial on her site and she did the whole thing very inexpensively. Great job Lindsay!
I’m jealous that she’s living in Hawaii. I’m not jealous that her husband is gone right now……..so I hope you’ll all see it as your duty to our country to go visit and leave her a nice comment. Supporting our troops in a way……keeping the military wives happy.
Enjoy!
