Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe

If you like Peanut butter, then you’ll love this. It’s the BEST Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe I have ever tasted. But you gotta say Peanut BUTTA fudge……..if you know what I mean!

This was my father’s specialty.  A Christmas tradition. Now that he’s passed on, it’s now up to me to make it.   It’s the best fudge ever!  BEST PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE EVA!peanut butter fudge recipe

I’ve heard that Santa LOVES this stuff.

How to make Peanut Butter Fudge

3 C. Sugar

3/4 C. Butter

3/4 C. evaporated Milk

4 HEAPING tablespoons Peanut Butter

7 oz jar of marshmallow cream

1 C. Nuts (chopped) I don’t always use nuts.

1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Combine sugar, butter and milk in med sauce pan

2. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.

3. Continue to boil, stirring for 5 min over med heat. (I usually stir until about 234-238 degree’s)

4. Remove from heat

5. Add Peanut butter, stir til melted

6. Add marshmallow cream, nuts and vanilla

7. Pour into buttered 9×9 in pan.  ( I use a larger one since I like my fudge thinner.  My dad used a plate and got several out of it)

    Peanutbutter fudge. It was your Father’s speciality, and it was my Son, Scott’s favorite Christmas treat. I was not able to make myself make it this year. Maybe in years to come. We both have such wonderful memories don’t we. When I saw the picture it overwhelmed me, I could see his eyes light up when the little plate was piled high and sit on the side bar where I put the goodies at the holiday meal.

    ooh, if only we didn’t have a peanut allergy. Stinker, well I guess that means I won’t be making these. Made press cookies yesterday with my daughter AND…. was reminded why I don’t bake.     Oooo,yum. No doubt daddy’s “peanut buttah fudge” would be a hit anywhere (other than the allergies,Bum-Mer!). I had dear neighbors 20+yrs back that made PBFudge that you couldn’t stop eating, and they are gone now…so I feel like I need to make this (and watch my butt grow because I won’t be able to stop eating it-still).     My Grandma always made Peanut “Butta” Fudge. Always a favorite. We looked foward to it every year. She would make it for days so that each grandchild could take a big container home. I always freeze mine. Gets really cold but not hard. Her recipe is a bit different and a bit more complicated. The thing I liked the most about it…is she used chunky peanut butter instead of adding other nuts. I miss her and her PB fudge. This year we attempted it… yummy but not the same as Grandma’s :) Happy Holidays! :)
