PhotoShop Tutorials
My husband bought me Photoshop Elements 4.0 a few years ago. I figured I’d be able to play around with it and be editing wonderful photos in no time. Well, that didn’t happen. Turns out I’m not that smart. I so want to learn how to use photoshop actions, photoshop curves…….whatever that means.

My online friend Amanda has a GREAT site with all kinds of tutorials, and workshops. She’s a smarty.
Not only do we love taking great shots for our family albums, but taking good photos for blogging has become essential. It can make or break your blog. If you’re a food blogger, it really really matters. Especially if you’re submitting to other sites. Gone are the days of using flash to get more light.
Food Photography
Take this shot from Tidy Mom. The color is great, it’s clean and really lets you enjoy that cupcake. Mmmm
But what did she do to take that shot? Well, Amanda did a whole tutorial on what Tidy Mom does. Below are a couple of different food photo shoots and what they really look like. Interesting isn’t it?

Then you’ve got all those actions and textures you can use when editing. Thank goodness for picnik for editing dummies like me.
If you’ve got the desire and a bit of time, Amanda has pretty good tutorials on how to use photoshop. She gives you screen shots so you don’t get lost. She’ll walk you through each step and before you know it, you’ve got yourself the perfect shot.

I’ve had Photoshop for a couple years and I don’t find it to be real intuitive…..I don’t really use it unless I’m making a new header for my blog or something. Thanks for the link to this blog because I can use all the help I can get learning this program better. It is interesting to see what a real food shot looks like

Looks like a great site for photography. I’ve already been over to check it out. Thanks! ACR =Adobe Camera Raw. It’s an awesome program for editing photos in RAW format. I use it almost daily!

Oh my gosh that lamp is too cute. At first from the photo I thought it was headbands or belts but I see it is a lamp. The flower pins are toooooo cute.
