Silhouette USA

Do you own a Silhouette?  If you do, then you know all the things you can do with one.  That is ONE smart machine.  Make cards with your Silhouette.  Make scrapbook diecuts with your Silhouette.  Cut Vinyl for home decor with your Silhouette.  No this isn’t an advertisement.  I am very lucky to own a silhouette and I must admit that I haven’t had time to play with it much.  What I LOVE the most about it, is you can use any image you can create or find on your computer.  Amazing machine. Silhouette has a blog!

Once I get going with my Silhouette, I will most likely use it for scrapbooking and Paper crafts, but I am REALLY excited for heat transfers and using vinyl.

They are doing some new things with cutting fabric………but we all know I don’t sew.  This is one tutorial I can skip.  :)  Except I did see them using fabric on a card.  Hmmmm.

Boy, if I had a Silhouette I’m not sure I’d do much of anything else and my house would be a wreck, and there would be piles of laundry and dishes, and we’d eat bread and butter for dinner every night. . .guess it’s a good thing I am not a so blessed;-)

I don’t have a silhouette, but I do have a cricut. Of course I got it for Christmas and it still isn’t out of the box. I need to pull it out and get to using it. Thanks for all the cute ideas.

I have one. I have owned it for 3 weeks now and I have never taken it out of the box. It requires too many brain cells – I am intimidated.

    One day…

I do not have a Silhouette, but I have one of the cartridges {Kates Kitchen}. Ya, I know, not too smart. I bought it by mistake for a Christmas gift not realizing it does not work in the Cricut which is what my daughter-in-law has. I asked about returning it, but since she was so excited and opened the package…we can’t return, :( but hey, I don’t blame her for opening it….I was excited too!!
Now, do I sell the cartridge or buy a Silhouette??

Hi :) I just found your site & I LOVE it!!
I was wondering if you could share the name of the fabrics in your owl? I REALLY REALLY want to make the exact same one.
    Thank you :)

Emily, if you read through my post, you’ll realize these are not my projects. I feature people, highlighting their site. I’m sure if you visit her, you’ll be able find what you’re looking for.

I bought this sihouette machine after you talked about it and got in on discount. I have just got to figure it out now. I have had it since January, but am just now getting time to poke around with it. I am a seamstress and somewhat crafter, basically have tried it all. I am excited about the Silhouette but what the fabric paper and they are all out. I will have to keep checking back.
