Small World- Small Town

I must have walked past Miss Lara a thousand times and never even knew. Our worlds have touched so many times and we still have not met. We know so many of the same people………it’s a small world.

Modern Prairie Girl

I’m just sick about missing all the past opportunities to hang with a creative sista.  We both live in the small town of Camas Wa.  SMALL!  We both attend every Barn House Sale……and even talked to the same group of friends.

small town friends She is good friends with my friend Krista………we were even with Krista the same day while Krista received chemo.

My friend Krista during Chemo. Lara hung out with her in the AM, and I hung out with her in the PM. Lara left before I showed up.

But I arrived shortly after Lara had to leave.  We even know the same amazing photographer, Fancy Farmgirl..…I just featured her last week.  I had no idea she also knew Tiffany!

small town friends

What a small world.  Then while checking facebook, I see her commenting on my friend Margie’s page because she had just attended the Brave Girls Camp.

SMALL WORLD.

We know SO many of the same people, but have never met.  That has got to change.  I can’t wait to meet her.  So much talent.  Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she dabbles in mixed media.  mixed media art

I love what she has in her etsy shop.  Farm house decor

Looks like she has an amazing home!!!  I plan to be really really nice to her, then kidnap her to help me with my decorating dilemmas.  That photo below is her dining room table!  Can you stand it?  Those chairs are burlap………..BURLAP!  We all know my love for burlap. burlap chairs

It takes a special person to be a pet photographer.  She’s got some adorable shots on her professional site.  Her human shots are pretty amazing too. She loves a good theme.  Don’t miss the Alice in wonderland photo shoot she did. photography by Lara Blair

I know that I’ll just love Lara.  Can’t wait to meet her.  Now if you don’t mind……..please head over and leave her a comment so she thinks I’m pretty cool too.  :)

Edited to add:  We have since met.  I’ve taken her photography class, we meet for coffee at our local coffee shop, she’s the one who took my photo for the Matthew Mead Holiday Magazine.  Just like I knew………we hit it off.

I love “it’s a small world stories”. I was working on a college accreditation team with a professor from another state. She was shocked that I knew one of her co-workers. There is often a connection.

  20. It’s true, it’s all true. Lara has crazy mad skills! She is good at everything! I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Lara while waiting in line at the Barn House sale a few years ago (we admired each others cowboy boots!) I was there with lovely Leah – the beautiful woman in the photo with Tiffany. (We live 2 doors away from each other.) In fact, I was lucky enough to be at Leah’s party when that photo was snapped! There is a wonderful, big buzzing bee hive of arty types in Portland. I love that they all support each other and these blogs are a great place to follow their bread crumb trails on the next cool thing.
