Wendy is a new reader………….or maybe she’s just a new commenter. She’s also a new blogger and mark my words……..she’s going to be big! She knocked my maryjane crocs off when I clicked on her site! I actually thought her photos were from magazines………….I mean who’s house really looks like this? Not that so many of my features don’t have amazing homes, they do……….or I wouldn’t have featured them…….. But there is just something about her photo’s that make you gasp when you realize they are real rooms in a real house…..with children. Where’s a little bit of clutter? A dish rag out of place, a tube of chap stick on the counter???………come on Wendy, we want to see that you’re just like us. (or maybe I just forget to move that stuff when I take photos?)

Just to prove my point……..OK…..doesn’t this look like a Pottery Barn photo? Well it’s not………it’s her boy’s bedroom. I could just die over those head boards. SHE MADE THEM! Visit her site and she’ll tell you how. Just tell me that they are not the ones making the beds? I don’t think I can take it. Simple, cute, perfect!

She also takes us through her daughters room. How brilliant is this? Using Barbie clothes to make art? I know…….I’m speechless too. Her house didn’t have a mud room……….Poor Wendy……..with 4 children, she needed one. So instead of whining about it, she figured it out and made one out of an older closet. I’m thinking this is a good woman to have around when you need to make lemonade. And you all know how I love chalk board doors? (and red one’s too……send me a photo of your red door) Looking through her beautiful rooms, I couldn’t help feel that surge of jealousy and since I had just cleaned my scraproom…..feeling pretty crafty……..I muttered to myself “oh yea? well I bet she isn’t crafty”

WRONG! She makes cute things like this and scrapbooks. She seems perfect………

Wendy, please show me a mess……….then we can be friends.
