This refreshing Trop50 Slushy Recipe may become your new summer favorite!
Trop50 asked me to share what I think is “Refreshingly Different” about myself. I haven’t really given it much thought, but it’s a great question. I think I’m pretty down to earth and fair. That makes me refreshing. But I also wanted to know what YOU thought what made me refreshingly different and I want to know what makes YOU refreshingly different. So I put the question to my readers on facebook.
Amy said: ” The amazing flexibility you have on buses ;). Your ability to listen and be a great mentor.” Let’s just say the bus had a pole and I decided to stretch my leg.
Lisa said: “That you are always true to yourself (!) and are unblinkingly generous.” She has to say that, she lives in my neighborhood. 🙂
Tauni said: ” 1) great sense of humor 2) you’re a mom and you still have strong opinions about things other than kids.” If I wasn’t talking about my son, then I must have been talking about my dog. 🙂
Amanda said: ” I like that you are opinionated and ok with that. I respect that you tell it like you see it.” Amanda is another neighbor of mine. I didn’t realize so many neighbors read my TCB facebook. Obviously I haven’t offended her yet like I have so many others in my neighborhood.
Laura said: “Your were immediately inclusive to me. I love that you seem genuine and not fake. You tell it like it is and own it” Looks like I’m pretty opinionated. 🙂 Laura is Cindy’s assistant who I’m going to steal someday.
One thing I do know, is I like refreshing drinks……..preferably slushy drinks on a hot day! And if they have a little sumpin sumpin in them…….you’ll know it’s past noon.
Trop50 Slushy Recipe
Trop50 sent me a few samples to try of their Trop50 Juice with Tea. If you’ve been reading my blog for at least a year, you know I love iced green tea. So when I tasted the Raspberry with Green Tea I knew I needed to slush it up and make a Trop50 Slushy Recipe! YUM! Making a batch of these for your Memorial Day BBQ would be perfect.
Memorial Day Trop50 Raspberry with Green Tea Slushy
- In a blender, mix crushed ice with the Juice Beverage Tea of your choice.
- Blend and serve.
Found in the chilled aisle, the line includes Trop50 Peach with White Tea, Trop50 Raspberry with Green Tea, and Trop50 Pear Lychee with White Tea. It’s really hard to choose a favorite. My son loved the Pear Lychee with White Tea.
- Trop50Juice with Tea is a new line of juice beverages that offers fruit juice goodness with 50 percent fewer calories, now with tea!
- These refreshingly different juice with tea combinations are made with delicious fruit juices and white and green teas to deliver a great-tasting and nutritious juice beverage.
- With 35-40 calories in each 8-ounce glass, they provide a full day’s supply of vitamin C and good source of antioxidant vitamin E.
Trop50 has more than just Tea blends. I’m also loving their Red Orange Juice beverage. Of course, it’s yummy to drink but I’ve enjoyed cooking with it. I’ve been making a quick marinade for the best BBQ Chicken ever! Just in time for the holiday weekend!
Trop50 Red Orange Marinade
- 1/2 cup Trop50 Red Orange Juice Beverage
- 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
- Crushed Garlic cloves- I use 3
- 1 tsp Grated Ginger (or 1/2 tsp dried ginger)
Mix well, then pour over Chicken to marinate. I like to marinate my chicken at least 2 hours before throwing on the grill.
So tell me………What makes you refreshingly different?
This is a sponsored post – All opinions are my own. I use Trop50 in my home and I really do like it. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, May 30th, 2012.

Honestly, I am not sure what makes me “refreshingly different.” I have been told I am freakishly strong for a shortie — but that’s usually just by friends who need me to help them move… :). I have also been told I am freakishly positive and optimistic. Maybe that’s my thing: I’m just a strong, positive, happy freak! 🙂

I simply do not speak badly of my spouse in public. Or in private, for that matter. We love each other to death and feel it is important to not nag or complain as I so often hear others in the office or at events with many women doing. I love that man and I married him so I could spend as much time as possible with him. I have no reason to complain about that!

I think what makes me different is that I’m odd mix of ridiculously practical and crazily whimsical. No kidding. 🙂

I’ve been told that my straight forward relaxed view of life makes me different. I always try to encourage an individual as I get to know them. I like asking questions, listening, making them feel special. Life is actually not about me. Thanks for the great ideas!

I think what makes me refreshingly different is I always try to make those around me laugh and smile. The thing is, I am shy. It’s kind of a weird combination. But I still try. I just enjoy other people’s laughter.

Your right it’s not easy to talk about yourself – I never like to share things about me. However, my family and friends always say that I’m the scratch and dent queen and can see the beauty in simply everything. All I know is, I like to look at things with my eyes wide open and think out of the box at all possibilites. Thanks for the chance to win. AJ@queenofmynest
